1st round of the Uganda National Enduro Championship 2012

The 1st round of the Uganda National Enduro Championship 2012 was organised by Enduro Uganda Club.  The event was held on private estates belonging to Fiduga Flower farm and Nsimbe Estates, 22 kilometers on Kampala Masaka Highway.


The race attracted 17 riders out of whom 16 completed the race.  The podium finishers were:

 

Class 1

1. Michael Sekubomba

2. Dugdale Jerry

3. Moses Lutwama

Class 2

1. Asaf Natan

2. Olivier Van Pee

3. Barak Orland

 

The enduro race route was a 10 kilometers long trail traversing Fiduga Flower farm and Nsimbe Estates.  It featured a number of natural and man made obstacles which included forest, bushes, swamps, drop offs into valleys, logs and tyres.  The riders had to endure 3 hours of non stop racing through the route.  The second and third rounds of the enduro will take place on 23rd September, 2012 and 23rd December, 2012 respectively.
