INFORMATION - New alcohol Procedure in FIM World Championships & Prizes

The use and consumption of alcohol (ethanol) had been officially prohibited in competition under the WADA rules, incorporated into the FIM Anti-Doping Code, since 2004.


However, as from 2015, WADA agreed that the FIM could henceforth consider alcohol as no longer prohibited as a doping agent but as a substance prohibited for safety reasons under with the FIM Medical Code.


The FIM Anti-Doping Code and Medical Code were modified accordingly.
