On the Move - Boda Boda Training Ceremony

2ND  phase of FIA Road Safety Grant/ AAT funded project to train Boda Boda Taxi Riders took place in Dar es Salaam in the month of Feb. The Training was conducted with the support  of  Tanzania  Traffic  Police  HQ,  and  safe  Speed Training Institute. Three Hundred Fifty Unlicensed Taxi riders took part in the Training W/shop held at Ukonga Banana area in Association with local ward municipal Council, district Traffic Police and Ilala District Boda Boda Riders Association.

The Chairman of Boda Boda Riders Taxi Association Mr. Michael Roswe, The Chief Guest Nyabisi Nyansika Getama ward Councilor Head of Boda Boda Insp Ngowi from Tanzania Police Hq., instructor Insp Swai and AAT CEO all attended the demonstration Training and certificates handing over ceremonies lasted for 4 hrs.The Chief Guest & Chairman of  Boda  Boda  riders  Association,  respectively  Thanked AAT – FIA, Tanzania Police HQ for the support in Training 350 unlicensed Riders by providing new life for them. Each individual rider were handed certificate and the Association requested AAT to organize Training for the next batch of 350 riders in the ward of Chanika before moving the Training to other areas of Dar es Salaam.

The AAT (CEO) representing AAT President Mr. Nizar Jivani Thanked all the participants for coming forward and completing Training successfully and the Boda Boda Association, Tanzania Police Force for supporting FIA/AAT programmes in Tanzania to promote safety and save lives in support of FIA action for Road Safety 2010-2020 Programme.
